Prior to the war Joseph had worked as a parcel porter. He attested on
the 07/06/1916 aged 18 and went to France 28/12/1917. Joseph was wounded
in April 1917 but rejoined his Battalion within a week. he was
demobilised on the 24/10/1919.

Prior to joining the army Frank had worked as a printer and lived at 12 Gloucester St, Salford.
He joined the army 19/04/1908 and disembodied 17/02/1919.

believe Fred is Frank Mayers brother as they are both on the 1901 census
living at 18 Stafford St, Ordsall, Salford with their parents Henry and
Olive.
Joseph Mcdowell - 2nd
Lieutenant - 7243 Manchester Regiment 16th Battalion.
Joseph attested 08/09/1914 aged 21 years and 8 months and prior to the
war had worked as a train guard. Posted to France 08/11/1915 and then to
Fermoy, Ireland on the 08/09/1917. Joseph was approved for a commission
to 2nd Lieutenant, 29/01/1918, and attached to the 3rd Lancashire
Fusiliers. He Lived at 162 Tatton St, Salford.

Herbert Meakin - Corporal -
295085 Manchester Regiment 1/10 Battalion.
Herbert attested 29/14/1915 and prior to the war had worked as a
moulder. He lived at 2 Coronation St,
Salford (previously at 61 Kara St, Salford). He was demobilised
17/02/1919.

Prior to his service he had worked as a Dock Checker. William was
married to Emily and had three daughters Winifred, Edna and Hilda living
at 97 King Edward St, Salford.

James Musker - Private -

He attested 09/07/1915 aged 19 and was discharged 25/02/1919.Prior to
the war James worked as a clerk and lived at 24 Rudman St, Salford with
his mother Sarah Musker (nee Taylor).
Wilfred Ernest Mutch -
Private - 200608 Royal Scots 13th Battalion. He lived at 37 Regent
Square, Salford.
Thomas Naylor
- Private - 7835 1st Royal Scots Fusiliers and later
with the Labour Corps (817539).
Thomas joined the Royal Scots in 1903 aged 18
serving until 1906 when he was transferred to the
reserves. He was mobilised in August 1914 and posted
back to the 1st Royal Scots with which he served
till 28.8.1918 when he was transferred to the Labour
Corps and demobilised 18.6.1919. In 1919 Thomas's
address is shown as 105 Sunnyside St, Salford with
his wife Winifred. Prior to the war Thomas had
worked as a Labourer.
The 1911 census shows Thomas living at 65 King
Edward St with his father Alfred John Naylor.
